Colourful, vibrant, dazzling, vivid, glorious, garish these words are not enough to describe the state Rajasthan. The every place of Rajasthan itself say a lot about them. Just stay in market place of Jaipur, Jodhpur or Udaipur and move your eyes around, every street has its different shade like there is always Diwali in night and Holi in days. So rich in culture and it’s history glorify in entire world.

The regal Indian state is famous for its pink, gold, white, red and blue cities so let’s call it “Colourful Rajasthan”. Thick forest, sandy desert, famous handicrafts, global heritages, flourishing flora and fauna, beautiful lakes, Rajasthani food and many more are always ready to make you lost into it.

Jaipur- The Pink City

Jaipur is all famous for terracotta (pink) painting, every building within the walled historic centre is painted pink. So for the arrival visitors it will be very obvious to understand why it is known as a pink city. Pink is colour of welcoming gesture and hospitality.

Jaipur is the capital city of Rajasthan. Jaipur is known for fascinating monuments and colourful markets as it has gorgeous garments and precious gems collection. Once you visit this place you are going to be in love with this place. Along with Agra, Delhi, Jaipur forms the golden triangle for Indian tourism.

 Jodhpur- Blue City and Sun City

 There are many concept behind why we called Jodhpur as blue city and Sun City. Most of the houses in old city of Jodhpur are blue coloured. And there is tell with the colour is associated with the Brahmins and that blue colour houses belong to them.  Jodhpur’s weather remains bright and sunny all around the year that is why it is called Sun City and to keep the houses cool they uses blue color.

Bikaner- Red city

After hearing Bikaner the only things comes in mind is most famous snacks. Bikaner is all famous for the great taste of food specially the namkin, bhujiya ,khasta , papad, gate ki sabji, Raj kachori, ghebhar and the famous rat temple. There is also a palace called Lal Garh Palace, which justify its name as Red City.

Udaipur- White City and City Of Lakes

Udaipur is also an important city of colourful Rajasthan. Udaipur is located at the base of Aravali Mountain. It has several nick names like city of lakes, Venice of East, white city. There are many beautiful lakes such as Lake Pichola, Fatesh Sagar Lake, Udai Sagar Lake. It is the capital of famous kingdom of Mewar in Rajputana. It is a soothing place, and the perfect for the one who wanted to destination weeding, it’s quite popular for the destination weeding. And if you do love shopping for traditional and folk items you can visit the nearby Hathipol and Bapu market. I personally recommend you to must spend your evening at Gangaur Ghat it is really a soothing place.

Mount Abu

The only hill station of colourful Rajasthan is Mount Abu. It is located in Sirohi district on the highest
 
peak of Aravali range. Rajasthan generally considered as hot state and due to the cold and favorable climate it becomes the summer capital of Rajputanas. The thick forest and eye soothing journey to the peak of Mount Abu attracts visitor over the whole year.

You can enjoy magic shows and Puppet shows during the visit and many hotels offer it as a complementary shows. There is options for shopping of traditional and famous handicrafts and stone ornament and idol of God.

Jaisalmer- The Golden City

The most beautiful city and fully preserved city of colourful Rajasthan. The Jaisalmer is golden and every building looks like it is a part of the fort (its look like only) mostly yellow sandstone used for the constructions. It is the last big cities near to India- Pakistan boerders. The forts are not the only center of tourist attraction, but there is lot more to Jaisalmer than the fort like sand dunes which attracts a lots of tourist around the world.

Sawai Madhopur- Gateway to Ranthambore

Sawai Madhopur is surrounded by Vidhyachals and Aravalis, this place is famous for its Ranthambore National Park as well as its fascinating history. Ranthambore fort is related to the great royal women performing Jauhar when muslim invader Alauddin Khilji  laide siege on this fort. Ranthambore is spreads over 392 sq. km of thick forest with serene waterfalls.
